Thanksgiving Vacay: Part 1
On our way to my brother's house we took a detour over to Myrtle Beach, SC. It was COLD but absolutely beautiful. We were so anxious to get out of the car after so many hours and enjoyed walking barefoot on the sand. ( Sorry about the giant arm shadow..we couldn't find anyone to take our pic!)
I'll post more of our vacay as well as my adventures of sneaking onto a battleship tomorrow ;)

Thank You!
My sweet friend over at Notes From Holly St. has given me the honor of The Versatile Blog & Stylish Blogger Award. Thank you dear friend! And while I'm still scratching my head as to why, I am so proud and thankful for the continued loyalty and support I get everyday.
To complete my acceptance I must post 7 facts about myself. Here ya go!
1. I can say my ABC's backwards in less than 15 seconds.
2. My husband has been my best friend since middle school.
3. My favorite foods are chicken salad and cereal.
4. When I moved to Atlanta to go to college at The Art Institute I didn't know a single soul in the city or in school. I'll admit it now..I was scared to death.
5. I have a weird gift of communicating with animals. My mom says she used to catch me in our pasture, surrounded by cows. I would have baby calves sucking on my fingers and would be chatting it up with 'their parents' ( as I called them), amazingly I never got trampled!
6. One of my top life goals is to find a meteorite.
7. Growing up I wanted to be named Julie so bad that instead of changing my name ( like I wanted), I just used the name for every pet I owned. I owned Julie the dog, Julie the fish, Julie the rabbit, Julie the bird, Julie the frog and Julie the fish.
Hope you have learned a little more about me with these silly little facts. And thank you again my dear readers for all of your wonderful emails and sweet comments, I live for them! I plan on posting a few photos from our awesome Thanksgiving vacay tomorrow. I hope you have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving!
My dear friends, what are your Thanksgiving plans this year? Traveling to another state or possibly inviting the whole family over? Whatever you do I hope you have a wonderful time spending time with your friends and family. Sink in and enjoy them....
On that note, I have decided to take a little siesta from my blog for about a week. Hubby and I are leaving tomorrow for the 10 hour roadtrip to go spend Thankgsiving with my brother, who just returned from his 6 month deployment. Out of respect, I'm going to do my best to take this little time we all have together to dive in with my family and stay away from blogging, tweeting, etc. I can't really see my grandmother being happy with me sneaking away for even one second to blog ( which I'm still trying to get her to grasp the meaning).
I'll be sure to return with fun photos and stories to share with you in a few days. Til then, Happy Thanksgiving my dear friends!

Have An Adventurous Weekend
Friends, what is your Saturday and Sunday going to be filled with? Fun and friends? Cleaning and organizing? Whatever you may get into I hope if fills your soul. That's the best way I can describe the moment I first laid eyes on Lake Tahoe ( above), it filled my soul. Ahhhh...
Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh Joy, It's Friday!
Hi my dear friends, what are you getting into this weekend? I'm headed to Atlanta to visit my best gal friend. I do enjoy heading to my old stomping grounds from time to time :) I think we are heading to CB2 and a ton of other wonderful stores to get started on our Christmas shopping.
Thought you might enjoy this neat idea.
And get a laugh out of this ( and use it on your friends)
And find this strange yet very interesting.
have a wonderful day!

Congrats Royal Lovebirds!
I'm sure you've already seen it on every channel but in the case you have been living under a rock, Price William just proposed to his 'commoner' girlfriend Kate Middleton. Now what's so funny to me is how every media outlet keeps referring to her as a 'commoner'. I realize it just means that she doesn't already have a title but seriously folks, isn't there another name you can call the poor girl? l As if we live in the dark ages and they're marrying to form alliances between two countries? Pu-leez.
Enough about that...let's talk about something more fun. Oh, I know. That a-mazing rock!
The Perfect Little Cottage
I've fallen in love! How perfect is this little sandstone cottage? A mix of traditional 1880 house and contemporary refurbishment, this house is absolutely to die for.
What 'style' home to you dream of owning?

Brother's Deployment...
This just in! My brother just sent me this picture of him during his deployment, one of the only few pictures that he was actually in during his time. I can't help but to be proud to show it off. He is on the very far left, holding the helmet.
We just found out that he is going to be home on the 16th, next week! So excited!

Love This.
How cool is this nifty lil' chart? As a graphic designer in the industry I find it very helpful when you just can't figure out what font to use.

And I'm not going to apologize when I actually do start to look like a camel walking down the street.
Need More Daylight
According to the handly little chart over at astro.edu, I get a whole 10.5 hours of daylight right now. I'm officially starting to get SAD ( literally..Seasonal Affective Disorder). I can't take this whole driving to work in the dark- coming home in the dark cycle. And it just started. Yuck.

Today = Bad News.
Today was not a very good day. It's been rough. I just found out that my brother, a 1st Lieutenant in the Marines, will more than likely not be home for Thanksgiving and his having his deployment moved back. Our whole family had planned on heading to his base at Cherry Point, NC and enjoying the holidays with him. My sis-in-law is so ready to see him she can't stand it. God bless our men in uniform...I can't wait for him to be back home! I'm leaving you with this video to watch in hopes for that day ( P.S. Grab a tissue..it's a happy cry though!):
