I just inherited my great-grandmother's china *sniff sniff*. I feel as if I've finally reached womanhood! It's soo beautiful and extremely vintage (early 1900's). I just had to share a few photos with all of you :)
What lovely item have you inherited recently?
So so beautiful!! How special too. :]
ReplyDeleteWhile moving into our new home, my husband found a small black charm with a very vintage-like floral design on it. I remembered taking it from my Grandmother's jewelry box after she passed away 10 years ago. No idea where he found it, but I'm so glad he did! When I found an old black chain (that was faded to see the copper), I REALLY felt like the charm was a great find. The two go perfectly together & I love wearing it knowing that she used to.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! What a great gift to remember your Grandmother by.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom inherited her Grandmother's tea set and when she unboxed it she found a pair of tweezers in the teapot. Very strange, but they're her favorite tweezers now. I hope to get the tea set someday.
What awesome stories! Kate, I gotta see that charm :)
ReplyDeleteNikki- tweezers? Very odd but what a unique heirloom!
